finalist of the 2001 Canada Post Literacy Awards. This is a significant achievement,
considering that we recieved 319 nominations from across Canada.

It was a challenge for our judges to select the finalists from the many deserving
submissions we recieved and now, the all-important search for our 2001 winners is
underway. The entries for this year's Literacy Awards highlighted truly inspirational
stories of achievement and leadership in the field of literacy.

A news release announcing the finalists will soon be issued to media outlets in your
province. A list of this year's finalists from across the country is also enclosed.

Winners of the 2001 Canada Post Literacy Awards will be announced in mid-August.
