
Lynne Brearley is a Languages honours graduate of Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Early in her teaching career, she taught Physical Education and English at the High School level. She enjoyed coaching Volleyball and Basketball. Once her own two children started school, she began to teach French to students in Grades 3 to 6, and was affectionately known as "Madame".
Lynne assisted in the writing, editing and graphic design of the series, Teach Your Children to Read Well. Lynne enjoys a host of hobbies including stained glass, knitting and Bridge. She is also an outdoor enthusiast. She loves to rollerblade, play tennis and sail. Her passions are travelling, golf, curling and sailing. She has been once around the world and can hardly wait to go again.

Judie Preece is a graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She recently retired from a long and successful career in teaching High School History and Sociology. For over a decade she served as Vice Principal at several local Secondary Schools. Now, with more free time on her hands, Judie enjoys travelling with her husband and friends, reading and rollerblading. Besides assisting in writing and editing the series, Teach Your Children to Read Well, Judie is the author of another work of non-fiction entitled, What's in a Name? She is also an award winning actress and playwright.
